Creative design has always been part of my life. From peasant painting to silk color painting, watercolor painting, calligraphy, modeling with clay, portrait drawing, silversmithing, … I have tried everything that I have found on my way through life.
Over the years I have always stuck with acrylic and water-soluble oil painting on a variety of surfaces using collected materials, especially paper, but also sand, sponges, … When it comes to art, I am a collector of everything.
I have always been driven by my love of colour and doing things (messing) with my hands and various “tools” – sometimes with brushes. My large-format art develops from colour and my gut feeling without any specific intention and mostly remains abstract.
Through Postcrossing I came across DanaCards and the shop’s great concept. I spontaneously tried my hand at small postcard art. Now a more concrete approach suddenly made sense, preceded by a process of finding ideas (statement), sketching and constantly changing things. For me, immersing myself in the implementation process is the real art. I only roughly stick to my original ideas and let myself be surprised by the result.
I love experimenting with different colours, materials, texts and fonts and gluing and painting in many layers.
DanaCards and I found each other at the right time – what a gift! THANK YOU!
